8–22 July 2027, departing Beijing / Shanghai. Sail for ten nights aboard World Navigator through Svalbard and East Greenland to Iceland, with Oslo sightseeing, the Golden Circle and three four-star hotel nights. International flights and visa fees are included.
Journey highlights
Three Arctic regions in one voyage
Sail from Longyearbyen to Reykjavík via Svalbard and East Greenland. Crossings of the Greenland Sea and Denmark Strait connect the expedition days, with time on deck to observe the high-latitude seascape and coastal terrain.
Glaciers and drift ice in Svalbard
Four expedition days focus on Spitsbergen and nearby waters. Glaciers meet the fjords and drift ice moves with the sea. The expedition team selects suitable waters and landing sites for Zodiac cruises and exploration ashore.
Polar research at Ny-Ålesund
Ny-Ålesund, home to China’s Yellow River Arctic research station, is a proposed landing site. Subject to conditions and access, explore the settlement’s research and expedition history, its museum or post office, or the former mining settlement of Ny-London. Entry to the research station is not promised.
Fjords and icebergs of Scoresby Sund
Scoresby Sund is a branching fjord system on Greenland’s east coast. The planned exploration takes in icebergs and glaciers between mountain shores. Suitable weather and ice may allow Zodiac outings or landings to look for musk oxen on the tundra.
Coastal life in Ittoqqortoormiit
The voyage plans to visit Ittoqqortoormiit near the entrance to Scoresby Sund. Community life is closely linked to the sea and hunting traditions. The town has a small museum and gift shops, and Greenland sled dogs may be seen. Landing and visits depend on conditions.
Wildlife in its natural habitat
Svalbard and East Greenland support polar bears, walruses, reindeer, musk oxen and seabirds. The expedition team looks for wildlife in suitable waters and on shore while maintaining safe distances. Sightings of any species cannot be guaranteed.
Zodiac outings, polar plunge and talks
Zodiac cruises and landings take exploration beyond the ship. On-board talks cover polar wildlife, geology and expedition history. A polar plunge is also listed among the activities, subject to the operator’s conditions. Kayaking is an optional activity at extra cost.
Architecture and Munch in Oslo
Before embarkation, visit Akershus Fortress, walk on the Oslo Opera House roof and explore the Munch Museum. There is time around Aker Brygge or Karl Johans gate in the evening. Individual artworks are subject to the museum’s display schedule.
Geology along Iceland’s Golden Circle
After disembarking in Reykjavík, visit Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall. The land excursion combines rift landscapes, geothermal activity and waterfalls before returning to the city for a four-star hotel stay.
Ten nights aboard World Navigator
World Navigator carries 182 guests and has a main restaurant, grill restaurant, panoramic lounge, gym and auditorium. Accommodation ranges from oceanview cabins to Juliette balconies and walk-out verandas. Sea days allow time for talks, deck observation and the ship’s leisure facilities.

China → Oslo
Depart Beijing / Shanghai on an international flight to Oslo. Transfer to the hotel after arrival and rest.
Explore Oslo
Visit Akershus Fortress, walk on the roof of the Oslo Opera House and explore the Munch Museum. Individual artworks depend on the display schedule. In the evening, stroll around Aker Brygge or enjoy free time on Karl Johans gate.
Oslo → Longyearbyen; embarkation
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the charter flight to Longyearbyen. Flight times permitting, view the exterior of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault; entry is not included. Transfer to the pier and embark on World Navigator.
Svalbard: proposed Ny-Ålesund landing
Ny-Ålesund is today’s proposed landing site. China’s Yellow River research station is located here; entry is not promised. Conditions and access permitting, visits may include the museum, post office and the former mining settlement of Ny-London on Blomstrandøya. The expedition team determines the final programme.
Svalbard: Spitsbergen
Continue exploring Spitsbergen and nearby waters, sailing north to look for seals, walruses and polar bears. Zodiac outings may allow glacier observation. Landing sites and cruises depend on weather, wind and ice; wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
Svalbard: glaciers and coast
Continue exploring Svalbard’s glaciers, coast and drift ice. The expedition team selects feasible landings or cruises for the day; locations are not fixed in advance.
Svalbard: final expedition day
Continue the planned landings or cruises in Svalbard before sailing towards the Greenland Sea. Shore activities and sailing arrangements follow the captain’s and expedition leader’s instructions.
Crossing the Greenland Sea
Leave Svalbard and sail towards East Greenland. Spend time on deck or attend talks about polar wildlife, geology and expedition history.
Crossing the Greenland Sea
Continue the sea crossing. Use the ship’s leisure facilities, attend talks and discuss East Greenland with the expedition team. Spa treatments and other personal services cost extra.
East Greenland: Scoresby Sund
Explore Scoresby Sund, with Borgvig and Volquart Boones Kyst among the reference areas. Weather and ice permitting, Zodiac outings may take in glaciers and icebergs, or landings may allow a search for musk oxen. These are proposed exploration areas.
East Greenland: Ittoqqortoormiit
Plan to land at Ittoqqortoormiit near the entrance to Scoresby Sund and learn about coastal life. The community has a small museum and gift shops, and Greenland sled dogs may be seen. Visits depend on local conditions and the ship’s arrangements.
Crossing the Denmark Strait
Leave East Greenland and cross the Denmark Strait towards Iceland. Observe the sea and seabirds from the deck or relax on board.
Disembark in Reykjavík; Golden Circle
Arrive in Reykjavík in the morning and disembark. Visit Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss, then return for city sightseeing. Check into the hotel after dinner.
Reykjavík → China
Check out after breakfast and transfer to the airport according to the international flight schedule. Flight numbers, connections and timings are to be confirmed.
Arrive in China
The reference itinerary concludes with arrival in China today. Actual arrival time depends on the ticketed flights.

Booking terms and travel notes
Booking and payment
- Deposit: 30% of the total tour price.
- The entire remaining balance is due before 9 April 2027, 90 days before departure, as stated in the booking terms.
- Minimum age: 8 years. Kayaking participants must be at least 14 and meet the operator’s English-language communication and fitness requirements.

Substitution if unable to travel
If a replacement guest is successfully recruited or supplied by the traveller, expenses not yet incurred may be refunded. Incurred visa, flight and other costs are deducted at the actual loss. If no replacement is secured, the cancellation terms above apply.
Polar itinerary and activities
Weather, wind, sea ice, port access and landing-site changes may affect the itinerary. The organiser reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments and does not promise the order of visits or the number of landings and cruises. All landings, cruises and on-board activities follow the captain’s and expedition leader’s decisions. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
- The source gives a typical frequency of approximately two landings or cruises a day, about 1.5 hours each. This is a reference, not a guarantee.
- The Svalbard Global Seed Vault is viewed from outside only. Ny-Ålesund and Yellow River station arrangements are provisional; entry to the research station is not promised.
- Kayaking costs extra. Availability, eligibility and final charges require confirmation by the cruise operator.

International flight schedules and Oslo–Longyearbyen charter timings are to be confirmed. Hotel names are also pending. Accommodation comprises two nights in a four-star hotel in Oslo and one in Reykjavík, based on sharing. Published prices assume two guests sharing; confirm single use, third-person occupancy and cabin numbers with your advisor.

The included insurance is the Allianz Huan You Si Hai Marco Polo plan; cover and claims conditions follow the policy. On-board Wi-Fi is included, with connectivity dependent on the sailing area. Wildlife sightings and landing sites depend on the conditions of the voyage.
